The Curtin University Oil and Gas Innovation Centre is seeking a research associate with a marine/aquatic ecotoxicology background to play an integral role in the delivery of a risk-based marine impact assessment of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) from decommissioned offshore oil and gas infrastructure.

The project is a collaboration with the University of Aberdeen, who are focusing on the marine impact assessment from Mercury (Hg), so the successful candidate will be joining a multi-disciplined team spanning the UK, Spain and Australia with expertise in environmental analytical chemistry, environmental impact assessment, NORM risk assessment and aquatic ecotoxicology.
